I am a Classicist and Digital Humanist and I work as an assistant professor at the University of Leipzig (Alexander von Humboldt Chair of Digital Humanities), where I teach courses in digital classics and digital philology. I have been working since 2008 with the Perseus Digital Library at Tufts University, where I have been visiting professor in the Department of Classics.

My research interests are mainly focused on ancient Greece and the digital humanities and I have been extensively publishing and leading projects in both fields. I am currently working on representing quotations and text reuses of ancient lost works and I am leading the Leipzig Open Fragmentary Texts Series (LOFTS), which is part of the Open Philology Project of the Humbolt Chair of Digital Humanities at the University of Leipzig.

As part of my interests in Greek fragmentary literature, I am working on the Digital Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum (DFHG), which is a digital version of the Fragmenta Historicorum Graecorum (FHG) by Karl Müller, and on a digital edition of of Athenaeus’ Deipnosophists (Digital Athenaeus) with a specific focus on the annotation of reuses preserved in the text of the Naucratites.

As part of my teaching activities, I am program director of SunoikisisDC, which is an international consortium of Digital Classics programs developed by the Humboldt Chair of Digital Humanities at the University of Leipzig in collaboration with the Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies.
